Slab board, two-tone sunburst. EX-/VG++. This guitar with neck dated June of 1960 has a number of nicks and dings from use, and no wonder. It has fantastic-sounding pickups that should be on the wikipedia page of what a Strat should sound like. These early slab-board examples have always had a cult following as Stevie Ray Vaughan famously played one and his tone on record is second only to Jimi Hendrix for Fender Stratocaster Tone 101.
This guitar is all-stock down to the 3-way switch (so EX-) but has been played professionally so as you see in photos has it’s share of honest wear (so VG++). It has the smaller ’59 neck size, not the wide/thin you might get with another 1960. With original brown hard case. A magic guitar for tone and vibe. Consigned.
