Up for sale is a rare neck made by Performance guitar in Los Angeles, California.
Kunio (Kenny) Sugai was a former fender tech then started his own shop which is Performance Guitar.
Kenny made guitars for the likes of Warren DeMartini of RATT, Steve Vai , Joe Walsh and Frank and Dweezil Zappa.
The neck is maple with a Rosewood fingerboard.
The frets feel to be 6105 and not a super jumbo.
The locking nut was a R4.
It plays very well , but you may want to have the frets polished .
The fingerboard radius is rather flat. If I remember correctly it’s a 15 inch radius.
The neck profile is thin like an RG wizard neck.
It is a neck that was actually used and not a case Barbie .
The picture (#7) that shows the back of the headstock may look like it’s cracked near the volute. It is just natural figuring in the wood.
It’s not beat , but is a player piece.
The headstock was cracked near the tip.
It was repaired by Performance guitar.
I kinda wish I had saved the receipt as Kenny signed off on the repair.
Please no low ball offers.
Feel free to make a reasonable Offer.
If you know about these guitars and necks then you understand what this is.
The neck is being offered “As Is “.
It’s a great piece to attempt a copy of the T Morello guitar.
Best Reasonable offer just might be accepted
