Bob Thompson has been building fine crafted acoustic guitars out of West Virginia since 1974. Loved by many players for the creative and intuitive design, Thompson guitar’s have all the fine appointments of high end boutique and legendary brands, with the feel and heart of a guitar built by one man in his shop. Since Bob’s first creations, his son, Larry, has joined him in making some of his own. Bob and Larry have continued this tradition of making beautiful handcrafted guitars since.

This D-18 style sports Mahogany back and sides and a Torrified, West Virginia Red Spruce top. Together they produce a classic, warm but chipper tone with plenty of pronunciation. This guitar is very light and a joy to play. 1 3/4” compensated bone nut for perfect intonation with a bone saddle and pins. The bolt-on neck also features a semi gloss finish for easier playability across the neck. This guitar is a classic D18 and more with a delightful sound and playability. Sure to satisfy. Comes with a HSC.
