I'm selling my Carvin DC 150. This guitar is in AMAZING shape for its age. It is virtually free of any blemishes, gouges, dents, and imperfections. In the third picture, that is the wood. near one of the switches. That is part of the natural wood not a blemish in anything other than the grain.
This guitar is maple body and neck. Set neck. From what I've seen, most if not all, of these early 80s Carvin DCs had stereo jacks. It's a cool feature that I haven't seen on other guitars.
Guitar weighs 8.07 lbs. w/case weighs in at 20.75 lbs
Being as this guitar has a maple body and maple neck (whole lot of maple) it will give you that distinct sound that you get with that much maple. Still, it is a very versatile sounding guitar. It's a Carvin. They are some of the best guitars ever made. Incredibly high quality at a very affordable price in comparison to other branded guitars of similar stock.
2 coil tap switches. 3 way selector switch. Some research I found says that the guitar is a 24.5" scale; neck dimensions 1 9/16" wide at nut; 2 1/8" wide at heel; 3/4" thick at fifth fret
The case on the outside shows some wear but is still solid. By no means does the case need to be replaced. It still has years and years worth of life left in it.
If anyone has any questions or wants more pictures, please ask.
I do not take returns due to the nature of me selling off my guitars. I describe them to the best of my ability. I try to take pictures of any flaws or imperfections I might find, even if it casts the item in a negative light. My goal is to complete a transaction with a satisfied buyer. If for some reason there is an error on my part, I will do everything I can to rectify the situation with the buyer's wishes. I'm a music lover first, seller second.
UPDATE/EDITED 8/14
It was brought to my attention that it looks like one of the inlays on the side isn't original. after closer inspecting, it is not a replacement. It doesn't sparkle or reflect the light as much as the others. It appears to be a darker piece of mother of pearl but still will reflect the light at a certain angle.
There are also a few marks on the backside of the neck and opposite side of the markers. To me, these look and feel like the wood grain. When you slide your hand over it you can feel it but it is still glossy, not chipped away. The third to the last picture makes it look like roasted maple/aged/ambered/etc but it is not. It's the lighting.
***I will do my best to ship as soon as possible after it is sold but at the same time my priority is making sure I package it as best as possible. Fair warning, I will spend an extra day or two finding the right materials to ensure the safety of the guitar over trying to get it to you as quickly as possible. Always willing to accept local pick up with $0 shipping***
