This is the Studer A779 mix console, not the Revox C279, legit Studer! When Studer released the A779 they wanted it to be more professional than the Revox C279 - longer faders, more transformer balanced io, a full monitor section, etc.

This entire mixer has been recapped and gone through by a professional - Wima film caps were used in place of a few electrolytic caps that were AC coupling. All of the other electrolytic caps have been replaced with Nichicon caps in the individual channel strips, master section, monitor section, talkback section, power supply (Vishay caps), and expansion module.

This has 6 mic preamps, but I’ve been using the transformer balanced aux inputs routed to the balanced monitor outputs for two more preamps. This gives you about 42dB per preamp, great for things like close mic’ing drums giving you a total of 8 inputs, all with direct outputs.

The routing on the back of this is unbelievable for such a small mixer, nothing is even close in this price range nowadays. This unit will be shipped with some rack rails which were removed and a IEC AC power cable.

Built like a tank, this is vintage in the best way. Super dependable, over-engineered, clean with just the right amount of character. As this is a vintage mixer, there is wear and tear such as paint chipping, occasional dirty sounding connector or knob, but everything is functional. It is also missing a knob as you can see in the photos. I will test before shipping. Thanks for looking!
