Marshall JCM900 Power Amp Board Circuit Board PCB SL-X

This board would be ideal for someone who owns a JCM900 that has had its screen resistors melt-down, resulting in board damage, or someone who possesses an amp with a board that has been damaged by poor soldering technique.

 

I purchased this board for a Mark 3 that I thought had a board fault, which did not. Hence, I have a perfectly good spare board here for sale. I bought this from Marshall Australia, who informed me that they had it for "testing". Read in to that what you will. As you can see, some of the factory tips are still on the leads. I do not think this board was ever installed in an amp.

 

This board is by no means "new". The capacitors may need changing. The jack contacts may be corroded. The joints may be dry (all easily rectifiable). If you were to purchase this item, you would be understanding that it should be implemented into your existing amplifier by a knowledgeable and competent technician, who will bring your amp up on a Variac or other testing device. The power tube/valve bias would need to be set. If you are willing to accept all of these tidbits, you are welcome to buy my board.

 

Note: This board will work with any amp in the JCM900 range. Any competent tech will be able to adapt this board to any JCM900, even a one hundred-watter with the addition of various parts. In its current form, it is built for 50 watt amps.

 

- The fuse holders are empty, you will need to source fuse cores, from “amprepairparts”, for example.

 

- Some jack nuts are missing. Again, available from the above supplier.

 

The value in this product is really in the board itself, which was expertly designed and produced by nerds who are much smarter than ourselves.
