Musima Hollow body bass, made in the early-‘80’s, in the former East Germany.
32" scale-length, or "medium scale".
Tuning machines have been upgraded to HipShots.
This bass originally had only two neck bolts, which were very poorly designed.
It has since been upgraded to a standard 4-bolt setup, and all are recessed, for comfort.
Pickups were swapped out for two Nordstrand '51 P-bass pickups, sized for this bass.
Original pickups are included in the sale.
Frets were levelled, crowned and polished, and the truss rod adjusts easily.
Dunlop strap locks were installed.
Pyramid Gold flat wounds are on this instrument, and feel like they were made for it.
Nordstrand Nordy Mute sized for this bass' string-spacing is included in the sale. Very useful.
All components and work done by Carey Nordstrand and Maurilio Mina of Nordstrand Guitars.
Bass will ship in its new ProTec gig bag. (Pictured.)
