Rare 2001 Gretsch Historic Series G3140 Black Cat Thinline Pre Fender

Up for sale is a very good looking and quite rare Black 2001 Gretsch Historic Series G3140 “Black Cat” Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar. Black is the rarest and most coveted color of these limited Historic Series Guitars. It was one of the first Gretsch guitars made at the iconic Peerless Factory in South Korea. It was also one of the last guitars Gretsch made before being sold to Fender. It’s in incredible condition with minimal wear. Plays and sounds stunning. They loaded this guitar out of the factory with USA made DeArmond 2000 pickups which sound unbelievably good in this guitar.

One of the nicest Gretsch’s I’ve ever played. Think of it as Gretsch take on the classic Rickenbacker 330. A perfect example of they don’t make them like this anymore!

It was recently professionally set up with a set of D’addario 10’s with an ultra low fast action and an oiled neck. The frets in great shape with minimal wear. No fret buzz whatsoever and plays great. Fully waxed and shined to perfection. Dialed in and ready to command any stage or studio. Does not include hardshell case.
