Classical guitar from one of the greatest French luthiers JACQUES FAVINO (1920-1999)
Manufactured in 1964
Jacques Favino has built guitars for the greatest celebrities of French songs (Brassens, Yves Duteil, Enrico Macias ...) as well as for other international celebrities (Joan Baez ...)
This model seems like the classic model of George BRASSENS, The only difference: there is no reinforcement (metal tailpiece) because the strings here are nylons.
Solid spruce top - Rosewood back and sides - Mahogany neck with double central thread - Rosewood bridge - Bone nut - Mechanical heads in Ivory!
The head, very beautiful is carved in bevel like all Favino heads.
The sound is very warm, typical of a FAVINO guitar which gives it a unique character
The guitar has uses of time, a crack in the top right of the table (see photos) but only the varnish, no cracking on the table itself.
The bridge is slightly detached (see picture) but the guitar does not move and is perfectly right! The take-off / reassembly of the easel is therefore not essential.
Scale length: 650mm
Action: 4mm to string E grave, 12th box.
Guitar very
easy to play, entirely "revised" by the best luthier of the region.
