This Standard Peerless MONARCH 17 features a 17" all solid arched spruce top and a solid maple arched back and rosewood fretboard, bridge, pickguard, and tailpiece. This is the working man's archtop with a great solid wood sound at a very affordable price. It has one floating mini humbucker pickup and one small soundpost positioned under the bridge to eliminate most feedback issues but still deliver the clarity and tone of the best archtops. "Custom Monarchs are also available and have also been dressed up with a solid flamed maple back, gloss finish, volume and tone added to the pick-guard and a floating mini hum bucker. The Monarch is also available with a set Humbucker with volume controls on the body just like a Gibson L5, and also available on the smaller 16 model with a set Humbucker made for the performing musician."
