Martin D-35 Guitar 1/2 Body Cutaway AND Full Size UNFINISHED Neck ~ EXTREMELY RARE ~ ONE-OF-A-KIND!

Everyone, I just found the D-35 Full-Size Unfinished neck that I purchased with the body and I am adding it to this listing. That's right...you get both the 1/2 Martin D-35 Body "AND" the neck. Pics of the neck have been attached and you can see no holes have been drilled into the Headstock for the keys. There is no Fretboard, but the channel for the rod has been installed. If you look closely at the bottom you can see where a Martin tech wrote D-35 in pencil to identify it. The neck is roughed in and has not gone through the final sanding process. The edges are still rough and that makes this even more valuable.

BACK TO MY ORIGINAL AD:

FYI...That's it folk's! I just reduced this listing 50% and will NOT reduce it any further. I will keep it before I reduce it any lower. Especially now that I have added the D-35 Neck to this listing.

Extremely Rare Martin D-35 Unfinished Cutaway with Brazilian Rosewood Sides and Back and the Spruce Top Martin Guitar's are so famous for. From my research...this Cutaway was provided to very select Museums to show the construction process of Martin Guitars and few were ever released. Most guitars that didn't meet Martin's strict quality guidelines and standards are destroyed whereas a very few are cut in half for display purposes.

I purchased it from a Museum in Knoxville, Tennessee 4 years ago after the exhibit it was apart of was discontinued. The Museum curator stated it had been in their climate controlled warehouse at least 10 years after closing the exhibit. I purchased that exhibit which included both halves of this D-35 Martin and the unfinished neck. I also purchased several other instruments in various states of completion including a couple fiddles and molds to make Lute's. These items will be listed soon, too!

This listing is for the top half of a D-35 body. The blank neck will be listed in the next few days and can be purchased in a separate listing. This 1/2 Body Cutaway was pulled from the manufacturing process prior to being finish sanded and the final finish being applied because of a small flaw where the side was glued to the top. It is still in its raw unfinished state whereas it has not received it final sanding or clear protective finish. Being unsanded and unfinished makes this piece ever more rare and valuable.

This Cutaway is an EXTREMELY RARE item and only the 2nd 1/2 Body Cutaway I've ever seen in my 57 years. The other was a Gibson Half-Body at the old Gibson Store in Nashville years ago before the flood that closed it for good. This was the 1st Martin I've ever seen and knew I had to own it when It was made available to me.

If you are a Guitar collector, or more specifically a Martin Guitar collector, this is a must have item for your private collection. You may NEVER see another one!

I am not sure how old it is, but maybe the new owner can find out from Martin its actual age. I know it's at least 15-20+ years old from the discussion I had with the museum curator. It may be older! It does have the number 4048 imprinted on it and the initials "DR" handwritten in blue sharpie under where the neck would cover it.

Please review the many pictures and view this special collectors item closely. Although I play the Guitar and Banjo as well, I am a professional drummer...not a Martin Guitar Collector or full-time Guitarist. I am keeping and currently displaying the other half in my Home Drum Studio and it will never be sold...do not ask to buy it. As mentioned...the blank Martin D-35 neck will be listed in the next few days. It's an awesome piece, too! Thanks for checking out my items. Best Wishes!

Please be sure you are 100% happy with this item before ending this Buy-It-Now offer!
