Revolver Amplification Tweed Deluxe 5E3 Clone Vintage Jensen P12Q

This is a Tweed Deluxe 5E3 clone built by Revolver Amplification. This amp was serviced and inspected by renowned amp tech/builder Billy Z (of Austin and now Spokane), and he installed the following for me:

Vintage Magnavox 6V6 power tubes

Vintage RCA 5Y3GT rectifier tube (see pics)

Vintage -1959- Jensen P12Q speaker (like the originals had)

It sports a Mercury Magnetics transformer, and a highly resonant, lightweight pine cabinet with vintage tinted lacquered tweed.

Billy commented that Revolver installed a choke on this amp (I think that’s to increase the clean headroom, or decrease “sag”), but otherwise it’s a faithful recreation of the vintage 5E3 Deluxe circuit, with very high quality parts. Please reference the pics for more clarity.

The cleans on this amp are beautiful, and it gives a gnarly breakup around “4”. This is an all-around wonderful amp, but unfortunately, it’s just too loud for me (I have only used it lately for bedroom practice and at church with a mic).
