Up for sale, a 1957 Supro Belmont all original in very good condition and in good working order. Made by the Valco company in Chicago, this fantastic vintage USA made Supro guitar is 100% original and comes with a tear drop hard case (not original )
This guitar is balanced and has a very light and resonant body. Featuring one large alnico bar magnet, the pickup is full sounding and clear, with a dynamic, detailed sound that has plenty of warmth and girth, without ever getting brittle or overly bright. Professionally setup here at our shop. The neck has a medium profile that borders on the chunky side as you move up the fretboard and fills the palm comfortably with a 1 5/8" nut width like your favorite Fender. Down near the nut, the neck profile is a very soft V, smoothing out to a girthy C around the 10th fret. The Brazilian rosewood slab fretboard sports pearl dot inlay and original frets in good shape, The original "lightning" carved Brazilian rosewood saddle. With a scale length that's just over 24 1/4", the feel of the instrument hovers between traditional Gibson and Fender specs, making the Belmont comfortable and intuitive to a wide range of players.
The guitar has a couple of battle scars and typical play wear for this vintage. One on the upper side bout and the back of the body. Just finish chipping no physical damage to the body it self. Overall 7/10 condition ready to Gig!
