A beautiful thick, soft vintage Africa print cotton artisan handmade guitar strap that you won't find anywhere else! The front fabric is a luscious soft vintage cotton printed with rough hewn geometric imagery typical of African textiles. The colors are rich earth tones of brown, black, cream, and terracotta presented in various shapes including concentric circles, cross hatch lines, tiny squares, rectangles, and X's, as well as connected triangles and undulating thick lines running diagonally across the face of the guitar strap. The back lining of the guitar strap is lush black Duchess satin and the pin tabs are double thick hand punched and hand stitched top quality black Brazilian textured leather. This material was manufactured in 1989 by Guilford Mills, at one time one of the premier innovators of fabric composition and design. Guilford Mills was founded in 1946 and reached their industrial pinnacle in the mid 1980's. After laboring for decades to remain profitable, cheap imports took their toll and the company was acquired by Lear in 2012 and now produces high end automotive trims and fabrics. This material dates from their heydays as a producer of unique, substantial fashion fabrics.
