Here's a great deal on a Guild T100 in gorgeous cosmetic condition but with modifications that make it a "player" and not a collectable. I received it as a gift a few years ago and it was not in working condition. Someone had removed the original pickup (a crime I know). They then added a bridge pickup and a second set of volume and tone knobs. Whoever did the work apparently gave up before completing it. In addition someone pulled the original tuners and replaced them with Grovers. One of the Grovers was then replaced with a Chinese knockoff. As a consequence there are a number of small holes in the back of the headstock. All tuners work.
The pots were not put in typical Gibson order and are rotated 90 degrees from what you'd usually see on a four pot guitar. I like it that way but you may not.
So, here's what it is now: A beautiful vintage Slim Jim two new GFS "Mean 90" P90 humbucker sized pickups and four new CTS 500K pots. Two original knobs marked Volume and Tone and two aftermarket Guild knobs that are dead on duplicates of the originals. It shows quite a bit of fret wear but tunes well despite that, maybe because Guild was using thin wire.
Intonation is quite good. I checked each string at frets 3 5 7 9 and 12 and the results are shown below: Low E in tune frets 3 5 7 and 9. A couple cents sharp at 12 A in tune frets 3 5 7. Slightly sharp on 9 and 12 but still within range on my Pano tuner. D about the same as A. G is in tune on 3 5 7 but goes sharp on 7 9 and 12. I suspect this is because the wooden bridge is intended for a wound G but I have a plain steel on it. B in tune 3 5 7 9 12 high E about the same as B.
The neck is straight and the truss rod works. Body shows normal wear but is in remarkable condition given its age. From what I can tell from the Guild site it was built in 1965 at Guild's Hoboken shop. I suspect it had a D'Armond neck pickup that was wider than a humbucker and you can see a very slight gap between the pup cover and the top in one of the photos. It's only noticeable if you look for it. No structural cracks or delaminations. It sounds amazing with the P90's but I'm mainly playing Tele and acoustic and it needs to go to someone who will appreciate it.
