Handmade deep set neck doublecut solid body electric guitar featuring a denim burst finish on a carved curly maple top and a black cherry body. This is our 007 model, designed to provide a versatile guitar with classic looks. The deep blue/black denim burst contrasts nicely with the natural finish on the back and neck of the guitar.
The neck is a five piece laminate of curly maple and cherry. The neck features our deep set construction, which combines the best features of neckthrough and set neck guitars. The fretboard is indian rosewood and features a 12" radius and 23 frets, with blue abalone dot markers on the front and side of the board. The headstock has a cherry veneer that matches the body. The neck has carbon fiber reinforcement, a dual action truss rod, and a magnetic truss rod cover on the headstock, giving it a clean, no-screws look.
This guitar features a Stewmac Golden Age wraparound bridge with adjustable intonation, in a nickel finish. The tuners are nickel finished open back Hipshot Classics. The guitar has a bone nut, cream speed knobs, and cream pickup rings.
The pickups are our own handwound Tim's Enchanters humbuckers. These pickups are designed as a slightly hotter version of the classic PAF design. They combine a well balanced bright classic clean tone with the output and eq to stand up to overdrive well without losing their punch. The slightly higher output also allows them to perform well when coil tapped, or when wired in parallel or out of phase. In short, these are a perfect choice when you want a good vintage tone but a little more flexibility and better performance over a wider range of styles than a true PAF clone The volume knob features a push-pull switch to coil split the pickups, which gives a jangly low-output single coil tone.
The control cavity cover is grain matched to the body and features magnetic latches to give a clean look and natural to the back of the instrument. The control cavity is shielded, and the pickups feature shielded 4 conductor leads.
The guitar is strung with 10 gauge Ernie Ball strings. It has been finished with a dyed denim burst finish on the top of the guitar. The rest of the guitar, including the carved bevels on the top, have been left in a natural finish, which provides contrast to the deep blue tones in the top. The top of the guitar has been buffed to high gloss, while the rest of the guitar has been left at a semigloss finish, with a satin sheen on the neck to result in a very fast and clean feeling neck under your fretting hand.
The list price includes a hard shell case. The quoted shipping rate is for the continental US - please contact me if you would like to discuss shipping elsewhere, or local pickup if you're in the central New York region.
