The K3m is a rackmount version of the Kawai K3. It uses SSM2044 chips for its filters.
Kawai's third generation of analog synths begins their additive synthesis legacy. The K3 is refined into a typical hybrid synthesizer architecture of the day, although it adds an additive twist and wavetables, similar to Ensoniq's ESQ line. Architecture Class: Conventional (subtractive).

- Slight bend on the top left rack ear (doesn't affect rack position and is unnoticeable when racked)
