You're looking at a rare Hohner fretless bass made in the late 1960s by Bartell, which was a company started by some ex-Rickenbacker/National/Magnatone guys.
A version of this bass was later made in Japan under the Acoustic brand and is colloquially known as the "Black Widow".
This one is in decent shape. There are some dings and wear.
The nut was chopped, then shimmed at some point. It works, but is a bit ugly.

This particular one does not have a perfectly straight neck. It plays, but has a little buzz in certain areas. In our opinion the bass needs the fingerboard planed but then you lose the originality. We'll leave this to the prospective owner to decide.
It's cool! It has the original deluxe gig bag.
