A.C Fairbanks Imperial Electric NO 0 from the James F. Bollman collection, SN - 23339, 1906. 10 3/4” pot, 26 1/4” scale, 1 1/4” width at the nut. Classic “Electric” scalloped tone ring versions of which are used in Whyte Laydie banjos. Overall great condition. Hardware looks to be all original, nut replaced at some point, some neck relief but plays well and frets accurately. Playing action set for Frailing/clawhammer. Fret to D string height at the 12th fret is 5/32nds and change. Some peg head engraving restoration done under Jim’s watch and to his usual excellent standards. Vintage chipboard case.
