Very nice 1980 Hamer Special with a flame veneer top in transparent cherry red. Replaced knobs, nut, pickup rings, strap buttons and pickups. All else appears to be original. New Seymour Duncan 59n neck pickup installed, the bridge pickup is an early 80's DiMarzio PAF from a Hamer Special donor. The period correct (and likely original) Hamer hardshell case is included.
The guitar shows honest playing wear as shown in the photos. It has some chips, nicks and dings , but nothing serious. A previous owner enlarged areas in the pickup cavities, I assume to fit a long legged set of pickups. All modifications are hidden and do not affect structural integrity or playability. The frets are in very good shape. See the photos for details and feel free to ask questions.
The truss rod functions perfectly, the neck is straight and all electrical components function perfectly. The guitar is set up with 0.10 - 0.46 gauge strings, low action and no buzzing with normally aggressive playing.
