Offered up is this classic Post War / Cold War era East German arch top guitar…. From that unique period in European guitar building that was directly effected by the boundaries between the East and the West. Musima was forced to source materials and create their own hardware to replicate the great guitars found on the other side of the Iron Curtain….. This example likely inspired by Gibson jazz guitars of the same period. I don’t have the specifics on this model, the name or number, but I loved the sharp horn and the overall looks of this instrument. I bought it on Reverb not much more than a year ago and it’s been a part of my live shows since then….. You’ll notice I’ve not yet sourced new knobs and or done any modifications…. This is just as I bought it. It sounds super groovy in my Americana / Roots music type of guitar playing…. I like to get the overtones that the hollow body naturally give with the volume opened up a bit. You could otherwise string it with flats and have a decent “jazz box” guitar too. It needs some work on the pots, I’ve used a gentle grip with my pliers to turn one of the knobs as it’s quite stiff. Vintage knobs can be easily sourced, and it wouldn’t take long to get this playing even better. It’s a fat or rather wide neck, but well crafted, I wouldn’t say it’s a “fast neck”, but it feels good. I’ve also noticed they don’t finish their guitars as thick and beautiful as high dollar American vintage, but again it’s a really nice patina just the same. Simply put, this is tons of guitar for the money. With heavy nickel tailpiece, groovy tuners, and the funky pick guard it definitely stands out.  There’s no case included but it will be shipped carefully.  Also, please note the missing plastic cover over neck mounting screws. Non structural but cosmetic piece (could be made easily to replace)
