Ampeg B-15R Portaflex 1997 Blue & B-15E

For sale is the "Holy Grail" of bass amplifiers, an Ampeg B-15R Portaflex from the first year of reissue (1997).  Why is this amp so special?  In 1997 St. Louis music invited Jess Oliver back to Ampeg to re-design and reissue the greatest amp he ever invented.  This amplifier gives you the amazing tone we all expect w/ bullet proof reliability and absolute SILENCE when necessary.  These amps were impossible to obtain until Yamaha took over Ampeg and released the Heritage line.  Who wants to own a real piece of history.

This amp was recently serviced, it has new tubes and the bias has been adjusted for 6L6 power tubes.
