Teisco model E-120 c.a. 1965
This is an outstanding example of this cool Teisco model. The body is mahogany finished in a dark brown to amber burst with a classic striped metal pick guard. It has a few impact dents and light scratches but nothing out of the ordinary for a guitar that is almost 50 years old. The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fretboard, side bar inlays and 22 frets. The electronics are dead quiet on this instrument and sound great so it will make an excellent recording tool or on-stage guitar. The neck is traight and the action is excellent all the way up the neck and the intonation is spot on. The headstock profile is the iconic Teisco “fish hook” and the original Teisco Del Rey logo is intact. The 4+2 tuners are smooth and tight, only the high E tuner has a little slop but it pulls up and holds pitch just fine.
There is a small chip in the fretboard around one of the inlays which does not affect playability (pictured)
This is a remarkable player with amazing tone for a budget guitar and will bring hours and hours of fun to a new owner. Ships in a period chipboard case.
