2012 Ibanez RG 25th Anniversary series electric guitar signed by Paul Gilbert

Ibanez RG series electric guitar. This is the anniversary model that came out in 2012 manufactured at the Premium Factory in Jawa Timur, Indonesia. It has a double locking tremelo. Includes manual and original tool. I do not have original case but I will ship it in a Fender gig bag that is in good condition. Has one small chip in headstock as pictured. It was always there.   I took it to Paul Gilbert's Guitar Escape in 2013 at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, in the Catskills, which is where he signed it. He performed and instructed there for a week along with Andy Timmons and several other guitar greats. Many pictures. I guarantee it will pass any authentification or your money back. I have not used it much. Frankly, at my level, it is too much guitar for me. It is a beauty and I am seeing now very rare, only made in that year. The RG1XXV 25th Anniversary is an  solid body electric guitar model offered by  in 2012. It was produced to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the RG line and as a tribute to the original 1987 .

The RG1XXV was produced in Indonesia at the plant which produces instruments for the mid-grade . Production of this special model was overseen by experienced Japanese luthiers who were brought in from .

The RG1XXV features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include DiMarzio/Ibanez pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a pair of  flanking a , an Edge Zero II  bridge with a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer. Most RG1XXV's have KTS titanium reinforcing rods in the neck, but toward the end of the production run some were made without these rods.

The RG1XXV was offered in two fluorescent colors: pink and yellow. The headstock, pickup bobbins, knobs and sharktooth markers all match the body color.

Other twenty-fifth anniversary guitar models were the  and the  as well as the . These differ from the RG1XXV in that were all produced in the regular (non-Premium) Indonesian plants.

The RG2XXV lacks some of the flair of RG1XXV with standard dot position markers and different pickups. The RG3XXV has a humbucker/ single coil pickup arrangement similar to the classic .
