Custom "54" Precision Bass-Warmoth Roasted Alder-Sapele/Curley Maple neck-Quarter Pounder-Nice!!
Finally a custom bass guitar line almost anyone can afford!!
I love these 50's style Precision basses. It's tough to improve on something as tried and true as this bass, So I've kept the original design and improved it with the new tech from to day. This bass is built with a Warmoth Roasted Alder body. I like the color so much all I did for this one is fine sand and applied 10 coats of a clear wiping polyurethane. It has a satin sheen. Nice and smooth. The neck I had made by Freestone Guitars in upstate NY. It is made from a beautiful piece of Sapele wood from Nigeria. It has a lot of the same properties and look of mahogany. The fretboard is a highly figured Curley Maple. If you turn the neck just right it almost shimmers. It is 34' scale, it has 20 medium jumbo Jescar frets, and Abalone face and side dots. It is a slim profile neck with a 38mm nut. I have leveled and polished the frets. It's a very fast player! The neck itself is finished with 5 hand rubbed coats of Tung Oil varnish. The fretboard is finished with Linseed oil to keep finger crud off the wood and keep it clean. For the rest only the best!! I installed new set of Fender Tuners. I used a real bone nut, and a new Fender/Badass High Mass Bridge. I used a Custom Shop Quarter Pounder Pickup, and a Fat Bass Tone custom harness.
This bass plays great. Med/low action, 0 fret buzz, no dead spots. Sound you ask? You'd think it was a soapbar instead of a single coil. Deep deep bass to twangy highs. The output is so strong I had to back off on the pickup height from where I usually set this type pickup. You won't be disappointed.
As always you can feel confident in your purchase. 100% of my builds have received 5 star ratings. If for any reason the bass isn't as described or pictured just message me and I'll get a return started.
I ship professionally packed UPS Ground fully insured by Reverb Safeship.
