This guitar was built in 2013 and turned out to be a prototype for some additional blueburst examples that I was planning to take to production (but did not). So now I need to reduce inventory and while I really like this one, my SO says it’s time for it to go.
The guitar has not had much use and it plays and sounds great. Aside from some very light playing scratches (that could be buffed out), it has a small couple of blemishes that were in the finish when I obtained the body – these are shown in one of the photos.
- Body is a Mighty Mite swamp ash.
- 21 fret custom maple neck with vintage amber tint, abalone dots
- Gotoh locking tuners
- Pickups are Wilde (Bill Lawrence) Microcoil T, made in Orange CA
- ElectroSocket jack plate
- Wilkinson bridge
- 4-way pickup switch
- D’Addario elliptical strap buttons (I use these on all builds)
- The guitar weighs 7lb 9oz
- Ships in a new RoadRunner gig bag
About the Microcoil pickups: this is a model I have used on a number of my Tele style builds. It has excellent clarity, balance and is very musical. It is also very low noise and therefore great for recording, in fact I have two released songs that showcase these pickups well – message me if you are interested in checking them out.
