The forerunner of today’s Tennessee Rose model gained a lot of fans when George Harrison played it on early Beatles records and tours. This new Gretsch version combines the classic single-cutaway hollow body with 2 double-coil High Sensitive Filter’Tron pickups for an even sweeter tone and no hum, along with other features geared toward modern players.

The thin, maple-laminate arched-top body features binding and simulated f-holes; chrome “rocking bar” bridge, Bigsby B6GP String-Thru vibrato tailpiece and dark cherry stain (slightly lighter than the classic burgundy finish). The three-piece maple neck has a  bound rosewood fingerboard with Neo Classic thumbnail inlays.

Other features include three-position pickup switch, Master Volume control plus individual volume knobs for each pickup and a Master Tone control, silver plexi pickguard with embossed Gretsch logo and bound headstock with Gotoh locking tuners.

But bottom line, there’s simply nothing more eye-catching than a timeless Gretsch.
