Restored and Customized Washburn Pro Guitar
This is yet another example of Triage Guitar Shop of West Palm Beach Florida rescuing another neglected and abandoned classic from extinction.
This Washburn Pro body was mated with a modern pointed headstock neck and painted with the British Union Jack Flag. The finish was antiqued to give it that road worn charm.
The list below details other actions taken to return this orphan to its former glory and playability:
The body was cleaned and painted as indicated above
The neck was cleaned, fingerboard treated and frets polished with 0000 steel wool
Electronics were revisited, cleaned and replaced (1V1T/cap), resoldered or rewired as required to restore proper function
Tremolo cavity filled with wood block to increase structural integrity and enhance wood based tones
New hardtail bridge installed and set up with neck angle to produce low action
2 new cream color top hat knobs installed
New 5 way switch and cream color tip installed
Restrung with Ernie Ball Super Slinky (.009 - .042) strings
