2008 Martin JC-16RGTE Aura Jumbo Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar Near Mint w/ohc

Up for sale, a 2008 Martin JC-16RGTE Jumbo Cutaway acoustic guitar in near mint condition and in perfect working order. The JC-16RGTE acoustic-electric is crafted of solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, and a black Micarta bridge and fingerboard with white Boltaron binding. Polished gloss lacquer is used on the top, with a smooth satin finish for the back and sides. Plus, the Fishman Onboard Aura system delivers the ultimate in acoustic-electric amplification. The tone is clear and cutting, with focused lows and sparkling top end. Amplified through the Aura preamp, there's an incredible amount of control over the sound, with three band EQ, Image and Volume knobs, Phase and Anti Feedback controls, and a built in tuner. Professionally setup by Mike Lull Guitar Works, this Martin features a new hand carved bone nut, very low action, and 12-53 bronze strings.

The mahogany neck has a slender V shaped profile (Martin describes it as a modified low oval shape) with slight shoulders and original slender fretwire. These frets are in great shape and show only light wear on the crowns beneath the B string from frets 1-5, with virtually no wear further up the board. The nut measures 1.75" in width and the scale length is a full 25.4". On the headstock, the Ping tuners have a 18:1 gear ratio and mint chrome plating with the Martin logo.

The preamp works exactly as intended, the saddle has plenty of height for future adjustment, and cosmetically this guitar is near mint. We simply can't find a scratch on the guitar, and it's a great example of this uncommon and discontinued model!
