Up for sale is this gorgeous 2018 Michael O'leary guitar. Although it looks a lot like spruce, it's actually a Yellow Alaskan Cedar top. The back and sides almost look too good to be true from the professional photos so I had to snap one with the phone camera at the end so you can believe me.
Now on to the important part: the sound. If you've heard Berta Rojas, you know how amazing this instrument is (she plays an O'Leary!) This is about the most "even" guitar I've ever played and of the lattice guitars, this is one that is the sweetest and sounds the least "lattice" which to me, is a good thing. I don't want to have to be careful every time I play an open string to get a nasally lattice sound. That is not this guitar at all. It's even, sweet, and incredibly loud. Oh yeah, it's HEAVY too, but once you get used to it, you start to notice the benefits of a heavy guitar. Namely, it stays in your lap very easily. That may sound like a joke but it's actually very comforting!

The only issue with the guitar is the circled photo near the end. The finish has some clouding in french polished top that could be polished out by any luthier easily. You only see it if you lean it against the light perfectly. No one that I've shown this guitar to has noticed it. There is also what looks to be a well-repaired string ding under the bridge that is circled as well. I assume it happened in the O'Leary shop and they polished it out. It's smooth there! The price reflects these tiny, fixable imperfections. I'm selling this guitar to fund another purchase, but wish I could keep this. Please feel free to send reasonable offers but I have a feeling it will sell at this price. I'll be uploading a video and sound sample soon.
