The SF18 is a OO style folk guitar made with a solid Sitka top and mahogany back and sides. Like all our models it is very much a traditional style instrument with a modern, open sound. Being a smaller body guitar the tone is tighter and a little higher than our dreadnoughts but due to our bracing the SF18 is still surprisingly powerful with great projection. Again like our dreadnoughts we use a scalloped, forward shifted X bracing system allowing more of the soundboard to vibrate resulting in a livelyand exciting little guitar to play.

Without doubt this guitar is perfect for folk and blues but can really handle big open chord strumming very well too.

Traditional components such as a real bone nut and saddle, mahogany neck with a dovetail joint and rosewood bridge and fingerboard add to its tonal capabilities and overall quality, and cosmetically it’s a true classic with tortoiseshell binding and pickguard.
