Custom Length Tapestry Guitar Strap Artisan Handmade Forest Green Tan Ecru Tapestry One of a Kind

A stunning one of a kind artisan handmade guitar strap ready to be finished in a customized length! The front fabric of the guitar strap is thick tapestry woven in dark forest green, cream, and ecru threads. The design consists of cream fleurs de lis on a forest green background. The design transitions to exaggerated leaves of cream and forest green in a needlepoint weave, giving the design a three dimensional feel. At the other end of the guitar strap the fleur de lis design is repeated. Between the two transition points is a single chevon of braided cream ribbon overlaid with a second double loop of ribbon. The back lining of the guitar strap is lush ecru Duchess satin and the pin tabs are double thick hand punched and hand stitched top quality black Brazilian textured leather. Now for the backstory-- The fabric is actually a section of an old wall tapestry dating from the 1950's. According to the vendor I bought it from, it was part of an estate sale from a large estate in Savannah, where she was living at the time. She bought it, packed it away, and forgot about it until she moved to Florida. When she opened her new shop, she rediscovered the tapestry. When I looked it over, I found several small areas of damage, pulled or missing stitches, worn thread, that sort of thing. I did find a segment that was not damaged and that is what I used for this guitar strap. 

The reason I am offering this as a custom length guitar strap is that it is too thick to be made into an adjustable strap. It simply won't go through the triglide. But, it is so beautiful, so regal, I just had to find a way to use it. So, now it is available as a custom length, one of a kind handmade guitar strap.
