For sale is a New Old Stock Maranello Standard guitar in a rare flamed maple top Wine Red finish,

This is the same guitar as the Maranello Classic used by Peter Green and Chris Rea , the only diference is the Classic has a perloid covered back, neck and headstock and the Standard has a black see through finish on the body and black on the neck and headstock. The diferences are just cosmetic: same guitar, same wood, same hardware.

About This guitar:
This guitar is NEW OLD STOCK, never used, this is inventory from a Italia dealership that closed. The guitar is in mint condition except for the fact that it has some small hairline cracks on two spots of the ‘res-o-glass’ floating pickguard that is very common in these guitars, even new from factory (see last photos) for this fact the guitar is listed has Excelent and not Mint Condition. The frets are polished and the fingerboard hidrated and fitted with a new set of 0,10 strings. The electronics have been checked and are fully functional.It has original setup that came from factory and although, I think the set up is fine, everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be up to you to have it set up to your specs. It comes the original Italia Gigbag .

The Maranello Strandard is from the Italia original series designed by Trevor Wilkinson inpired in the european guitar designs of the 60's This particular model has an Swedish Hagstrom inspiration. Very beautifull, very rare, with original Wilkinson hardware, pickups and Grover tuners ... the design and details are absolutly amazing and it sounds great.  
The unique Maranello Classic ‘res-o-glass’ floating pickguard design design sits deep inside the routed hollow body cavity, allowing for a reduced neck angle that is not typical for Les Paul type designs. This construction technique allows for the pickups to be mounted more flush with the top of the pickguard, bringing the strings closer to the surface area of the pickguard creating a rich, fuller resonance)
Italia was one of the most innovative and creative guitar brand to surface in the last 20 years, the models from these original series were very well built in South Korea by the Mirr factory that also makes the Rivolta guitars and Reverend guitars among other prestigious brands.
