Yamaha KX5 Vintage MIDI Remote Keyboard Controller / Keytar Boxed

This shoulder keyboard-style MIDI controller is famous for having been played by Chick Corea.
With no built-in tone generator, this model can be powered by batteries when connected to a DX7 or other synthesizer with a MIDI cable.
The part that protrudes like the neck of a guitar features the volume control, the modulation wheel, the sustain button, and a ribbon controller used for pitch bending.

The KX5 was released in 1984. It is a 37 note keyboard MIDI controller. It features a ribbon pitch and mod effects. There’s also unison, sustain, and portamento buttons. further more, with 2 switchable MIDI channels you can control 2 synths on the fly. Fun for your home set up, or to rock out on stage!

This is a used unit but it is in great condition for its age. Has lived in its original box most of its life.

The keys are bright and white, all text is clear and legible.

The ribbon control functions as it should, as well as all the buttons and keys.

The KX5 powers on with 6 x AA batteries or a 9volt battery.
