This is a lovely guitar by American luthier Anthony Gaillard Murray also known as Tony. He was a well-respected luthier and a friend of John Gilbert.

This guitar definitely harkens from the traditions and sounds of Hauser and Romanillos. It has a beautiful bear claw spruce soundboard much like Hauser often used. This allows for a stiffer but lighter soundboard. The back and sides are
rosewood. It is possibly the best cut of Indian rosewood that I’ve seen. The grain is very straight and tight. It has Lansdorfer tuners.

The tone is loud, punchy, yet very colorful and sweet. The projection in a large room is incredible.

It is quite easy to play. It is the standard 650mm scale.
Action is 3.5mm bass side and 3mm treble side at 12th fret.

There is a good amount of play wear and dings. I took some close-ups to try to show this. However, there are no cracks or structural damage aside from a tiny split that has been glued an inch or so below the bridge.

This is an excellent guitar and deserves to be played. I am only selling because I prefer a big 664mm neck.

Ships with hardshell case.
