Just drastically lowered the price of this rare instrument, lots of interest in this piece so I figured I would try and sell it rather than letting it sit on reverb for months, thanks for your questions- William
Super Rare Orme Lute Banjo. This is the earliest example of a canister top instrument known from Orme. This instrument was made right before Howe acquired the rights, Orme Howe is best known for its canister top guitars and mandolins, this is the only known surviving Lute-Banjo and the only known Orme banjo neck (made in Ottawa Canada). It is in very good overall playable condition, with some minor issues, no major cracks or damage, the neck is straight, the string friction peg on neck does not hold so it will need to be replaced or repaired I left it in as found condition it will be up to the buyer on what restoration they may want to do, if any. I am hoping this goes into a collection and can be appreciated by future collectors. This is a very rare one of a kind survivor super cool, all reasonable offers considered
