For your consideration, we present a Washburn acoustic guitar previously owned by an an Icon of Rock and Roll and one of the most controversial inductees of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  This Washburn D-17 SCEN was owned by Steve Miller.

Yes.  THAT Steve Miller.

This is a rare Washburn dreadnought model from 1993, presumably acquired from Washburn directly by the Steve Miller team.  It is unclear whether this was a guitar gifted to Steve Miller from Washburn or whether this guitar was purchased by Steve Miller from Washburn.  However, this guitar does include provenance from the Steve Miller gear warehouse.  Also provided with this package is a letter signed by Steve Miller's manager Scott Boorey from the original consignment store, Guitar Showcase in San Jose, CA.  According to the note on the reverse side of warehouse form, the guitar was once gifted to someone named Jenelle in 2006.  Somehow, sometime between 2006 and 2015, the guitar made its way back to Steve's collection and was subsequently consigned to Guitar Showcase.

This guitar features a mahogany back, sides, and "C" shaped neck, with a spruce top and rosewood fingerboard and bridge.  The front and back of the body, the neck, and the headstock all have cream binding.  The bridge and fretboard are adorned with pearloid snowflake inlays and a stylized "W" pearloid inlay at the 12th fret.  The guitar is equipped with a Washburn Equis II preamp, which has a 3-band EQ, contour control, and optional XLR out.  This package is complete with original case bearing STEVE MILLER BAND stenciling in silver, original Washburn warranty hang tag, Guitar showcase hang tag, inventory form from Steve Miller's gear warehouse, certificate of authenticity from Steve Miller's manager Scott Boorey, and a Levi's Leather strap in brown suede and cream piping.
