Vintage 1920's Herwin Acoustic Parlor Guitar Project! Record Label, Charlie Patton!

Up for sale is this vintage 1920's Herwin acoustic parlor guitar. This guitar will require work to be playable and is sold "AS IS" and "AS FOUND", so please read the entire description and see all of the photos.

This instrument appears to be your typical Chicago-built catalog parlor guitar from the 1920's, but where it gets cool is the branding on the headstock. This one was branded for sale by Herwin Records, the famous jazz/blues record label that included a roster of legends like Charlie Patton and Ernest Stoneman.

This guitar currently sits with a badly bowed neck and high action. The bridge has been screwed down to the body at some point and there are some scratch drawings on the top (pictured). They look like little demons, which is cool considering the history of the label. A real blues guitar!

In addition to this, the fretboard shows numerous cracks, some of the purfling is missing along the treble side, and the tuners are not original. All of these issues are photographed.

This guitar could be tuned up for slide as it sits and a cool slide guitar that it would make, along with a very cool wall-hanger, or it could be restored to prime playability. It's all up to you...

No case or gig bag is included, but the guitar will be well-packed to ensure safe shipping.
