The unsung hero of the Martin lineup, the Martin J40 has that "Martin sound", the power of a Dreadnought, but without the boominess. It also takes to fingerpicking quite well. It features abalone trim on sound hole, abalone hex markers on the neck, and the CF Martin premium headstock. It also features an ebony fret board with 1 11/16" bone nut. Comes with original Martin Case in mint condition.
The guitar has a tiny bit of haze in the finish in a few spots, and some light surface streaks on the back, and a couple of minor impressions on the top, but you really have to inspect closely to see any of it. Overall, in very fine shape, and plays and sounds like a dream. A super versatile guitar, I only used it in my smoke-free pro studio. Just need cash for other gear, so I'm putting it up for sale.
