This is a Limited Edition 2021 Fender Player Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue finish with a 3-ply Mint Green pickguard and a maple neck.

Condition wise, there was a small finish crack in the neck pocket typical of many Fenders that's had a drop-fill touchup so you can see it slightly underneath when you look close but it's full sealed, sanded, polished, smooth and seamless to the touch. Other than that, the guitar is essentially in mint condition.

If you're familiar with my posts they're long winded, but I like to be as detailed as possible with the care and attention I put into my guitars with the upgrades and modifications so please read further as I assure you it is worth your time.

Nice balanced weight just under 8 lbs

-Fender 3-Ply Mint Green pickguard. This is a slight change over the stock parchment pickguard but I really like the look over the Lake Placid Blue finish

-The stock Player Series Alnico 5 Telecaster Pickups have been retained. These are quite underrated modern Telecaster pickups similar to the classic American Standard pickups from the mid 80s to around 2011. The main difference is they're RWRP for hum canceling in the middle position and instead of winding the bridge pickup with 42ga poly magnet wire, it's wound with thinner 43ga magnet wire. As a result it has similar mid 3 Henries inductance but a smoother top end. It also has a copper baseplate which the American Standard did not. Properly dialed in as these are they sound really nice and versatile.

-Oak Grigsby 4-way switch for series operation. This adds a fourth tonal option where the neck and bridge pickup run in series for a thick, humbucker-like high output tone. A very versatile and popular Tele mod. The American Series "Delta Tone" no-load tone pot has also added for that next brighter gear when fully opened

-Fender Vintage style Pat No 3-Saddle bridge plate with compensated Fender Hot-Rod brass saddles. Since this guitar has a maple neck I wanted to give it some vintage nods with some 50s style appointments. Unlike the vintage brass saddles, these have moveable segments to adjust the intonation perfectly

-Fender Original 52 Telecaster Dome knobs, vintage style switch tip and American Professional/Ultra control plate. The dome knobs and switch tip are part of the 50s appointments while the lightweight aluminum control helps with weight reduction

-Treble bleed circuit (.001uf cap and 1/4w 150k resistor in parallel) to allow the highs to remain when you turn the volume pot down and not get muddy. If you prefer lower output Tele pickups, just roll the volume back and this gets you there with retained clarity. Turn it back up when you want more!

-Orange Drop .022uf tone cap

-Switchcraft 11 1/4" output jack just like on the American models

-Rounded and smoothed the edges of the nut and polished for comfort more like they are on the American models. The stock nut was properly cut and centered but most of the Mexican models have very little finishing in this aspect where you literally could cut your hand on the nut if you're not careful

-Fender current production lightweight aluminum Corona, CA bass neck plate. These neck plates are also 1/4 of the weight of the older steel ones and shave off a little weight (0.5 oz vs 2 oz)

-Current production Fender American Elite/Deluxe 18:1 locking staggered tuners (with vintage style buttons) for finer tuning adjustment and stability vs the original 16:1 tuners. Unlike a full set of locking tuners which are 3x3 staggered, these are all short giving you a better break angle and sustain on the D string.

Also included is a Fender gig bag which these models originally came with no case (Ash tray cover inside).

On top of these upgrades, it has also been cleaned, polished and fully setup with 10-46 strings with enough relief in the neck balanced for both lead and rhythm and a light touch (5/64" string height on both the low E and 4/64" on the high E string). The saddles have been perfectly intonated and adjusted to the 9.5" fretboard radius. The nut slots have been cleaned and filed for optimal contact and take off points for better sustain. The neck and bridge pickup height is adjusted to 5/64" on the bass side and 4/64" on the treble side

I fully stand by the work and believe you'll get a much better playing and sounding guitar here because of the selection of upgrades and attention to detail in the setup than if you pulled a Player Telecaster off the shelf. Why not be done with it, get a limited model with some vintage appointments, character and a fresh new look while you're at it :)
