Steve’s notes: Well, it must be “Rogers WMP Saturday” which is fine with me! This is the second kit we got today. Most of the heads are original with light playing time. (I put a vintage logo on the resonant bass drum head since it was missing). This set is a Cleveland era kit with 8x12, 8x12, 16x16, 14x20 in WMP. This set has the first version double tom holder which also has an arm for a splash cymbal. This first version was not sturdy enough and tended to wobble a little, mostly because the rod for the mount that goes into the bass drum was a standard hex arm. Later versions used a thicker post with larger diameter for stability. But, the very cool thing about this first version is this: The tom mount bracket on the bass drum is exactly the same bracket as used with the standard single tom arm. So, you can use a single tom arm and play this kit as 12/16/20. I have one of those arms and will include it with the set. Rogers drums in the 60s were the “Rolls Royce” in terms of quality. Fabulous shells, excellent chrome, and their swivomatic hardware for tom mounts was revolutionary. My favorite 60s era brand.
