Alvarez Alvarez 5003 MIJ classical guitar

What can I say? I Am a geek for underappreciated MIJ guitars and wish I could keep them all.  This is a beatiful example of what a entry level guitar should be.  The materials are not high end but are aesthetically very nice.  However, the craftsmanship exemplified in these Japanese made Alvarez classical guitars is fantastic!   

This guitar is in great shape inside and out.  It plays well and sounds great.  The tone is clear and balanced.  It has low action without buzz and the neck is straight.  It has been played through the years, but has always been well cared for and stored properly. There are the usual scuffs and dings.  Some dents on the top, a significant (but light) button rash on the back of the guitar, but really just all the normal wear  and a couple "oops" you would expect from years of playing it in very nice shape.  

The frets are level with no wear and recently polished.  The finger board has also  been proffesionally conditioned and looks awesome!  It is strung with a brand new set of D'Addario Pro Arte normal tension.
