Dr. T’s Professional Setup.
You may find a similar instrument at a lower price, but ours may still be the better value as we include our professional inspection and setup. With over 20 years in the industry, we’re convinced that a good setup is the most important investment you can make to improve the playability and sound of your guitar.  This is why we include this service for free with most guitars. We remove the strings and tighten and set the drag on the tuning keys. Next, we find any high frets, and level, crown and polish them.  We fix any fret sprout then clean and oil the fingerboard.  We restring, and set neck relief, action and intonation. Next play each string up and each fret. We bend the strings and play chords up and down the fretboard and fine tune as required.  Next, we test the electronics and balance the pickups.  Lastly, we just play the guitar to make sure everything is just right.

Notes about condition:

Mint:  Shows the smallest signs of use. Free from obvious blemishes, scratches and wear. May have small imperfections, which are only perceptible at very close inspection, and normal for a used guitar. Functionally in top condition.

Excellent:  Shows minor signs of use. May have small surface scratches and blemishes.  Functionally in excellent condition.

Very Good:  Shows moderate signs of use. May have moderate surface scratches and/or dings and dents.  Metal parts may have minor corrosion. Functionally in very good condition.

Good:   May show major signs of use and larger surface scratches and/or dings and dents. Metal parts may have corrosion. Functionally in good working condition.

Fair:   Major signs of use such as large surface scratches, dings and dents. Metal parts may have corrosion. May be missing parts and/or need repairs to restore it to adequate working condition.

Standard of Care:  We make every effort to meet or exceed our clients’ expectations and want you to be pleased with your guitar. Guitars develop wear with use. It’s widely accepted that honest wear does not detract from the guitar’s usefulness or value as a musical instrument, rather it adds character and shows that it has been played and loved. However, if you want a guitar in “perfect” or “flawless” condition, we advise you to either buy new, or buy locally so you can inspect it in person.   Even if we list a used guitar as mint, we cannot guarantee that it will be cosmetically flawless.  We do not accept returns or give partial credits on guitars that have the smallest imperfections that are only noticeable upon close inspection. Please ask questions before purchase. Thank you.
