This is a vintage banjo from the early 1900s. It has a new FAUX Aged REMO Fiberskyn Head and new strings. The string pack in the picture is empty, those are the new strings on the banjo. I've done a lot of research on this banjo but am not sure of its brand or model. All the parts can be traced to A.C. Fairbanks banjos. That company was purchased by VEGA in the 1900s. The star in the peghead can be found on early vega banjos. The no knot tailpiece, 1901, was used on higher quality instruments as were the hex screws inside the ring. Apparently, slot screws were used on the value-priced models. It comes with a case that definitely shows some age. I don't play banjo but I'll put up a video showing the instrument being played, by me. LOL. Thanks for looking! Fast Shipping!

A gentleman informed me that this banjo might be a Slingerland Banjo from the 1920s.
