Preston Thompson Parlor 2 Mahogany top, sides and back.
So the youtube video is this guitar. I bought this in 2017 in NOV and as Tim mentioned it had a K&K Pure Mini already installed by a luthier when I picked it up. Funny story... it was my Birthday and I went to buy a Collings 001 that had been at DHR for a couple of months. Dale was holding it for me but when I got there one of the other salespeople had shipped and sold it the day before. With money in hand I looked around and my eyes kept coming back to this one. It is super light, less than 3 pounds with the pickup installed. Years later I did some design work (amps, T types) for Preston Thompson guitars and they made me a sitka and rosewood version of this. I didn't really care for that at all and sold it here a while back.
So these are going for $5100 now, this is in really good shape. I am using extra light strings (10's) on this and have used the Santa Cruz/Straight Up small body tension strings as well (11's basically). This of course is a short scale guitar with 1 3/4" bone nut, bone slotted rosewood bridge, stripped ebony fingerboard. On the 8th fret side for years I thought there was a scrape but it's just stripped ebony showing it's color and is sealed under the finish.
There is some minor belly bulge and small wear in the frets in the open strings area but the guitar in all cases is very playable. I had the guitar setup and the truss rod adjusted just a month ago. As you can see from my listings I make guitar amps and pedals for a living. So I am just not playing this as much as it needs to be.
The pickup has been tested a number of times as I am working on a new acoustic guitar preamp with optical compressor and balanced transformer output with phase, tone and volume.
Original TKL hardshell case included, it's a bit bigger than the guitar but it is the one that came with it.
So since I got asked twice about this. What I like is this guitar is so much bigger than it's size. The mahogany top, I think is better than spruce because of the size. There is more body on this version as compared to the spruce top. This guitar stays in tune better than any I have. Pulled it out yesterday to answer a question, first time in a week and it was spot on! The finish looks like french polish, it's a matted really well done finish.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks, Gordon
