Here is a really nice Protector Gen 3 1980s Norlin case. It is in excellent condition cosmetically, and fully functional. It looks almost new, like it was in a closet / under the bed for the last 35 years. Note that it is the type Gen 3 that does not have a case compartment lid, or a case strap to hold the lid in the open position. It stays open on the hinges just fine with a guitar in the case, and leans backwards a bit when unloaded.

It perfectly fits the SG, Sonex 180, and the thinner slab LP shapes like the LP Special and the JR. For some reason it does not seem to fit the LP standard, with the thicker carved top. It fits the body profile OK, but does not close all the way. My thinking is  they may have actually made 2 different widths of Protector cases in this Gen 3 model, so please do not purchase this for a full height, carved top Les Paul Standard.
