1966 Mosrite Ventures Mark V Guitar - White
Made in USA......Only around 800 Mk. V guitars were made from ’66 to ’68.
Mosrite was an American guitar company based in Bakersfield CA from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. Founded by Semie Mosely, an earlier Rickenbacker employee, Mosrite guitars were played by many rock and roll and country artists. Mosrite guitars were known for innovative design, high-quality engineering, very thin, low-fretted and narrow necks, and extremely high output pickups. Moseley's design for surf/pop band The Ventures, known as the "Ventures Model" (later known as the "Mark I"), was generally considered the flagship of the line.
The white color has faded to cream and the lacquer shows some checking but no large scratches or dents. The original frets are low (as they were from the factory) but the guitar plays great and the typical skinny neck feels very comfortable. The pickups are quite powerful.
Weighs 7.3 lbs.
All original except the bridge upgraded to roller bridge.
Includes NEW TKL hardcase.
Serial # B1002 on the fingerboard
"Mosrite of California The Ventures Model" Logo
Bolt on neck
Truss rod at the headstock
