I acquired this guitar from the original owner who purchased it new after graduating from college- this is his account: the neck was reset and refretted by Steve Morrill in 1998. The case is not Martin labeled but period correct and popular at the time. There’s a small cosmetic repair on the treble-side lower bout side panel (final photo), the strap was purchased in 1965 with the guitar.

This guitar has been extremely well cared for- free of cracks and only light handling marks. The pickguard is original. There are some capo marks and nicks on the back of the neck. This is an early 1965 with standard Kluson tuners before Grovers were introduced midyear. The action is set low- 5/64 and 4/64 with 12-54 Martin lights.
