About This Listing

Peavey was one of the top names in amps and this Strat copy proves that it was quality all the way! 1-piece maple neck and a 'striated' real rosewood fretboard and the frets are nearly unworn at all. Your project can be to clean and polish up the frets (ask me how I do it if you are the buyer) or have a setup guy do it.

5-way switch and   V+T  controls is all there is.  I do an easy mod to make the tone control cover all 5 positions so that the bridge pickup has a tone control for REGULAR  Strat-types ! Buyer can ask me what the easy mod is.
The 'made in China' sticker on the headstock rear is very old and my educated guess is it was assembled in China of parts from elsewhere and MUCH nicer than China-made guitars we see now. (I have a Korean one with large polepice pickups),

The body, neck, etc. are virtually perfect and the setup is already done for you. 'Old School' was very good when kept in really nice shape and this is it!. I have a older Squier Standard Strat type and it is very nice but has some body chips and very good pickups.

3 places on the pickguard need to be flattened down, but I would leave it to a setup guy to do, if you even care. But for VERY budget cost, you can have a practically like-new Peavey of all real woods and it easily beats any import today. Grab this one while you can... no case or whammy bar and the tremolo is already 'blocked out' for you .

It is a LOT of Strat-type for very modest cost. I like the .009-.046 hybrid sets from Ernie Ball ... cheap, and they sound fine and last well
