About This Listing

This is a very nice vintage 1966 Fender Telecaster.

Here's the good and bad about this instrument. This guitar has been fully restored to original specs at Baxendale Guitar, in Athens Ga.

Most of the work was done by master luthier Joel Byron (Widespread Panic & Jimmy Herring's guitar tech) under the watchful eye of guitar master Scott Baxendale. What's original: The body, neck, hardware (except gears), ash tray bridge cover, all the wiring, except one pot and the neck pickup. What's not: The finish, the pickguard, the frets, nut, decal, and the bridge pickup.

The bridge pickup was made by Joel Byron to match exactly 1966 specs, and the guitar is wired to 1966 specs as well with the neck pickup having the early wiring bass sound.

The case is a new mint condition exact reproduction of the 1966 era Fender Case.

There is one ding in the edge of the guitar on the lower waist which is shown in the photos.

All in all this is a great player grade vintage Telecaster just waiting for the right player to relic it himself by using and abusing it onstage! It's in great playing condition with new perfect frets and sounds exactly like a 1966 Telecaster is supposed to sound.
